I would link some images but I don't think the image uploader likes me. I can never get it to work. :] ------ http://talesofawannabeseamstress.blogspot.com/ |

Date: 3/15/13 0:36 AM I like the top and back of this Cynthia Rowley dress, but I would make it as a top. The skirt it comes with is just weird. |

Not much in the way of new-and-exciting, lots of basics. I do like 1611, View A for a simple woven maxi dress though. |

But I agree, nothing looks fresh and new. The big and baggy apparently isn't leaving soon! ------ Nakisha - A new sewist with a passion! :)

1 member likes this. Date: 3/15/13 6:12 PM I like the new Khaliah Ali patterns -- I wish they came in a smaller size for my daughter. The Cynthia Rowley dress is nice.
Several of the other patterns have multiple garments where some of the garments are previously released designs. Overall, not a very exciting collection -- I will probably just get those three when they are on sale (and stocked at my local JA store which is usually several weeks after they are available online).

Date: 3/15/13 6:50 PM I've tried S1693 for wovens and so far it's driving me crazy in altering- with the straight-on darts, too high neckline, no curved sides.
Anyone else have a fave soft longer tank type for wovens that's better out of the bag? I have tried the Colette, which I find a little "rigid" for casual. |

Date: 3/16/13 4:29 PM 1623 looks really cute! I guess I really like some of these "skimming" patterns as I'm a bit of a chubby mama. I prefer things not tooo too fitted. |
