The new Simplicity patterns seems to be up on the website. Personally, I find the overall collection to be a bit boring. I like the new vintage pattern, but basically it is just a sheath dress. There is also an interesting knit top pattern.

I would link some images but I don't think the image uploader likes me. I can never get it to work. :]

I like the top and back of this Cynthia Rowley dress, but I would make it as a top. The skirt it comes with is just weird.

Simplicity Summer 2013

Not much in the way of new-and-exciting, lots of basics. I do like 1611, View A for a simple woven maxi dress though.

I like 1617 and 1619 and I think I like 1618

But I agree, nothing looks fresh and new. The big and baggy apparently isn't leaving soon!

I agree. I feel like I'm flicking through a pattern catalogue from the late seventies, early eighties. So many styles seem tired and dated. Maybe I'm getting old.

Man. Simplicity is really phoning it in with this collection. The only thing remotely interesting is View A/C of 1613. The neckline would be good for a sports top--I see a lot of that kind fancy/creative look in yoga wear.

I like the new Khaliah Ali patterns -- I wish they came in a smaller size for my daughter. The Cynthia Rowley dress is nice.

Several of the other patterns have multiple garments where some of the garments are previously released designs. Overall, not a very exciting collection -- I will probably just get those three when they are on sale (and stocked at my local JA store which is usually several weeks after they are available online).

I've tried S1693 for wovens and so far it's driving me crazy in altering- with the straight-on darts, too high neckline, no curved sides.
Anyone else have a fave soft longer tank type for wovens that's better out of the bag? I have tried the Colette, which I find a little "rigid" for casual.

1623 looks really cute! I guess I really like some of these "skimming" patterns as I'm a bit of a chubby mama. I prefer things not tooo too fitted.
