Hi! I'm fairly new to posting on this site, though I've read plenty!
I purchased a used Viking Huskystar E20 today and the machine is in great shape.
After making a few stitches in a scrap of fabric, the needle began to bump into the presser foot.
I can't find any adjustment for this listed in the manual.
The zig zag foot is missing and I realized I had switched it to zig zag and tried to switch it back and that is when it started giving trouble.
Any thoughts or suggestions would help! Thank you so much! Amy

I would try turning the Pattern Selection dial on the side of the machine, to "A" for straight stitch. Then turn the Stitch Width dial (on the top of the machine) to "5" and just turn the fly wheel only careful by hand and see if that hopefully put your needle position all the way on the left and let the needle just do straight stitch only, through the little round hole in your straight stitch presser foot, no metal hitting metal at all, and just let you only stitch like that, as you are missing the zig zag foot. If it does not, and the straight stitch foot is fastened on there right, then maybe something got unadjusted or bent up when the needle slammed into the foot on that zig zag setting.
