Lace- is not just for lingerie? Is it still cool? I have some old pieces of lace and am wondering if it should be destashed or remain in hibernation.

cg - I work with teens and still see quite a bit of lace used in interesting ways - small pieces as panels on t shirts seems to be the most common.

Lace is still a big trend. The four page ad that folds out of the cover page of the April 2013 Vanity Fair shows three lace or lace trimmed Ralph Lauren garments, and Ralph Lauren's Spring 2013 Collection (the most expensive line he produces) shows several lace trimmed jackets and dresses with a bold Spanish/South American flair.

I think lace is still strong. I'm currently watching a TV show and a young 20-ish protagonist had on the cutest white stretch lace top. The wardrobe on this show is excellent and quite fashion-forward.

Yep, still strong. I was out and about shopping yesterday and saw skirts from all lace and lace tops.

I've seen a lot of lace overlay on blouses and dresses this season.

It's also neat to use lace as the fabric overlay for piping (if the lace pattern is small enough). You can have a contrasting cord color peeking through as well.

With all the lace in the stores.why can't one find much in the fabric stores. I have been looking for cotton lace with little results.
