For those attending the Pattern Review Weekend in San Francisco, this year's challenge will be to create an Apron. In previous years, the challenges include name tag design and tote bag design and the entries were quite clever!

For those of you new to PR weekends, this is COMPLETELY OPTIONAL. It is a fun way to see the creativity from our members.

The Theme for this challenge is "Show your PR Love". Purposefully broad, participants should create an apron that in some way demonstrates this theme. Participants will be given the chance to model or otherwise present their entry and will be asked to discuss their inspiration and any other relevant information they wish to convey to the PR Weekend attendees.

After the presentation, voting will be opened and winners will be announced at Friday evening's dinner. There may be multiple winners but the committee will not determine the categories until after viewing the entries. Voting will be secret so attendees will not be able to see how others voted before casting their ballot.

As an added twist, you may enter an apron that was created before this challenge was announced IF it fits the theme AND you made it yourself.

Show your PR love concept originated at the PR Weekend Chicago where we did show your PR love nametag holder.

Last year in New York we held "Show your PR Love Handbag" Contest.

If I manage to sew only one thing before PR Weekend, it will be this. Getting my sewing room together is taking longer than I thought. This is right up my alley though!

For the Apron Challenge, are you allowed to make an apron using a purchased pattern?

Too funny! Would you prefer we change the answer to be that you can NOT use a purchased pattern? LOL
