I am uncertain how ImageWear patterns work. It says instructions in magazines and then do you have to order the tissue pattern?

Where do you see that? I have all of their magazines, and they seem well put together. I can't imagine they print the instructions and the tissue separately.

Numbers for 2011:
601.25 yards in stash (I'm sure this number is off by a few yards)
Yards in: 137.50 (Seriously? I'm over 100, and it's only JULY? Ugh!)
Yards out: 88.75

The tissue patterns are a separate thing, I think...I've looked through the magazines online and don't see the pattern I like best, the high-waist pant and bow shirt. Pretty things, though.

I have both magazines and separate envelope patterns from Imagewear. One thing you have to bear in mind is that their translations into English are really bad, so it all takes some interpretation.

The envelope patterns contain a leaflet that gives the instructions in four languages, plus the pattern sheets. The pattern sheets are not like Big 4 pattern sheets: the pattern pieces are overlapped so you have to trace them before you can cut them out. They are printed on heavy white paper. Be aware that the instruction leaflet is extremely, extremely brief and often poorly translated.

The magazines are basically the same as Ottobre and Burda: white paper with the patterns laid out in multi-coloured lines that you have to trace, and a separate section that contains all the instructions for the patterns in that issue. Again, translation is a problem, although in my opinion the most recent issues are a little bit better than the early issues.

One woman. One sewing machine. One giant stack of fabric. What could possibly go wrong?
