Subject: problems with Pfaff Ambition 1.5 reverse Date: 3/24/13 0:43 AM

I have been trying to figure out how to do the reverse on my ambition 1.5. I have read and re-read the manual and either my machine has a glitch or I just don't get it. I have tried pushing the button, but all it wants to do is tie off. I can light up the button, but then it stitches in reverse all the time. It is almost like it is stuck. Anyone else know what I am talking about or have a better way of explaining how to be able to sew in reverse for a bit when beginning a seam.

thanks for your help - I am really feeling stupid about this.

Ok, now I really feel dumb. I didn't realize the tie off options. I went over the manual and realized I was looking at the wrong machine (1.0) .

Pfaff machines have the reverse do 2 different things depending on when you select it. When you press the reverse while machine is stopped you lock in your reverse button and it keeps sewing backwards. When on a regular stitch while sewing press the reverse it will take a couple stitches back, release it sews forward. Many decorative stitches, including stretch stitches tie off at beggining/end of seams.

The newer Pfaff's reverse button is the start program button.

Whatever program you have set, like the tie off, or tie-off then cut, or the taper, etc... is activated when you push the button one time. Push it two times if you want reverse.
