I am wondering if anyone here has made this dress and had problems fitting the 2 front bodice parts together?
I am just about to make this dress but just can not get the 2 front bodice parts together. I have cut out a size 12 and B-cup, but the notches just don't match up! there is far too much fabric on part 2b (the small side part to fit inbetween the notches of part 1b) I have checked and double checked to make sure I have cut out the right parts. What do I do wrong? Any help is much appreciated!
thank you

Sandra, what you are dealing with is a princess seam. One piece will be larger than the other. You can do one of two things: (1) You can run a basting stitch on the side panel and ease it to fit the front, or (2) stay stitch the front and clip to the stitching. This will allow that seam to open and accept the extra material from the side panel. Hope this makes sense
