Pfaff has apparently made all their manual free of charge even the older models. I think this is great customer service.

That is definitely a step in the right direction.

I have two Pfaffs. Both manuals - especially the QE4 manual - really were not that great/helpful.

I wish all manufacturers would have streaming videos on their websites with "how to's" on the specialty features of the machines. I have yet to figure out how to combine stitches and lettering so forth on mine - as just one example.

Pfaff, in particular, wants us to go to our dealer and rely on our dealer for "lessons" and help. Not all dealers do a good job in this area for a variety of reasons. It is not always that easy either. Where I live, we have a huge area, especially north of us, which my city serves. I don't think most owners want to to do 5 (or more) hour drive just to get hands on help from the dealer when a web accessed video would do the trick.

JMHO... I agree though - a huge step in the right direction to have the manuals on line.

This has been online quite awhile now. One thing you have to do is click on the little arrow at the bottom and more and more manuals will be listed. Quiltingwolf - have you seen the combo stitches on the old machines I mentioned in that other thread? If you go to the last several pages in the manual of the 1222 you can see the combos. It was very popular at the time to embellish with rows of these lovely stitches! I used them now and then on little girls clothing and doll clothes.

Many, many machines listed, but not mine which is the Pfaff Creative 1475! How can that be?

Yup. That was the main buying reason for me.That and the nice free arm, and the craftsmanship that went into the German made Pfaffs.

THAT is weird....and the way they are presented is not exactly orderly either. Toss 'em a note, GL!
