I didn't realize when I ordered the reliable v50 that it did not have a water spray feature. I am wondering if those of you who do have this iron miss that feature? I could pass up the deal to buy the iron. I got it off of ebay as a best offer price of a refurbished one. I only paid $42 for it. I am still waiting for it to be shipped.... I swear it is worse than watching a pot boil. It has already been 8 days!! I know I used the spray mist before on my old rowenta professional plus, but if this iron has good enough steam, will I need to even have the water spray? I suppose I can just purchase a small spray bottle.

Sassy, I don't have the Reliable V50, but I never use the water spray feature on my Black & Decker Digital Evolution D5500.

Please let use know how you like the Reliable v50. I'm considering buying a refurbrished Reliable V50 through your ebay vendor to have as a spare in case my current iron stops working. I'm particularly intersested in knowing whether the Reliable V50 produces copious amounts of steam which I need for wool jacket. projects. Thank you.

By the way, you might want to send your buyer a message asking them when they're planning to ship your iron out. If that doesn't work, you should contact ebay directly (under the Customer Support tab on the upper right corner of the screen). Hope you receive your iron soon.

I bought the next size up from eBay as a refurbished also..probably the same dealer. I just looked and mine has a spray feature..and I've never used it! Mine puts out a ton of steam and even on freshly washed linen and cotton, I haven't needed it...I do also have a spray bottle but very rarely use that...mostly for delicates I want a very low temp on...

Do contact the dealer..I received several messages from them regarding my purchase and it was shipped in a couple of days.

I finally got my iron today. I paid for it on March 29th and it was not ordered until April 2nd. What happens is the ebay guy buys refurbished irons from reliable in Canada, then has it shipped to the buyer and billed to him. I will probably not get to use the iron now for a few more days, but I will be "thinking" about it.

I have had my iron for quite a few weeks now. I have gotten a few items sewn so really had some time to use the iron. It is HOT! You need to be careful when pressing things close. You had better use a pointer or something and save your fingers. The water tank needs to be filled often if you are sewing for many hours. I never have that much time, so it works for me. In comparison to my Rowenta professional - the Reliable is much hotter and has better steam. This was a refurbished model from ebay.

I have the Reliable V100. That iron doesn't have the spray either. I missed it at first, but the iron generates plenty of steam. Now, I get along without very well.

FWIW, my previous iron technically had a spray feature but it alternated between spitting and squirting, neither of which were what I really wanted. So I just invested $1 in a spray bottle and even with my new machine and it's nice mist feature I STILL use that spray bottle. So I think you'll be fine if you like everything else about the iron.
