Hi my names louise.
I have a budget of 350,
i am looking for a sewing machine with a drop feed facility, automatic needle threader, high lift foot, top loading bobbin, various button hole options, strech stiches.

i would also like it to be a decent size and not a light weight machine.

I would appreciate all your opinions and advice on what sewing machine i should be looking to get.

That is a budget of about 550 US dollars.
I think your best bet is to look for something lightly used.
Maybe a dealer has a machine on trade. You will get more bang for your money. Also floor models. I think Babylock makes some very nice lower priced machines.

Louise, I am not sure what is available to you but I really like the Janomes and they have several in that price range.

I was looking a the U.K. site at Janomes and it seems the model closest to your price range that would have more than one buttonhole would be the Janome CXL301. I love the features and orange color of the DKS30...we have that one in the U.S. only as a navy/white Necchi model, plus I see it comes with a free quilting kit right now. It's a bit above your budget, but nice to look at nevertheless.

You have your wish list. Start visiting shops to see what is available and if they service what they sell.
