I'm searching for soft cotton white chenille, the type that is used for baby bibs, burp cloths, etc. I've read that many sewers have purchased at Joann Fabrics in the past but that they discontinued it. Fabric.com has it but they are out of stock. I'm making a coordinating collection of baby bibs, burp cloths, stuffed blocks, etc. and would like to mix the chenille with my cotton print fabrics. I know it is not cheap but I'm searching for the best deal.

I don't have a source for you, but I have been looking myself. I just used a bathmat with a similar ribbing to make a tooth fairy pillow for my grandson. It worked, but was much heavier than I wanted. Good luck!

I was going to suggest looking for a coverlet to cut up, but that sounds too heavy for burp cloths... Maybe towels?

I might search for a ribbed towel which would somewhat give the look of chenille. I just really love the texture of the baby things made with chenille that I see on Etsy and other online sources.

Hi,
I purchased from Chenille Magic a no. of years ago for a project which is still not done. The fabric is expensive but very good quality.
