I once saw Patak's curry paste at Fabric Depot in Portland.

A couple of summers ago I had one of those "spend X amount, get Y% off your total purchase" coupons, and I was just a couple of bucks short. After scouring the whole store several times, I admitted defeat and threw a bag of Werther's into my cart. I was gonna buy 'em later at the grocery store anyway, but still. :/

I've been using my coupons a lot on notions things and the fat quarters are never on sale. Most everything else I'd buy is. They don't have the 50% of notions wall sale nearly as often as they used too.

Hmm, our snarky clerks would never ever "allow" that. They're becoming a food store now too?

Our Joanns has had candy for years, right by where you have to wait in line. I can't eat any of it anymore but they have quite the selection. Worst then any grocery store. I feel for people who have kids who have to wait in line. They have all those cheapy top/craft things on one side and the candy on the other. I know a lot of that stuff is probably brought just to keep the kids quiet. I guess that's their plan.

Orange chocolate dipped Jelly Belly's are now my downfall. And I usually end up using my coupon on it since I tend to end up buying mostly sale items.

Yes, if I can escape all the toys and kits, the majority of which are junk, there's the gauntlet of candy and crap before the registers.
