This looks like a great option for clearing out your stash, or a great source for finding some great deals on fabric. A fabric consignment store! I'm not associated in any way, although I might try consigning some fabrics, but it sure looks interesting.

From their web page:

PURGE.

Sell or Consign your items which can include but are not limited to: fabric, fabric scraps, yarns, thread, notions, sewing machines, scrapbooking materials, beads/beading supplies and much more!

Interestiing concept. Too bad Seattle is a long drive and I never get there. I like the idea very much.

FYI, Made Sewing, a sewing studio in Greenwood, also lets you sell fabric on consignment. I've never used that service, but I've bought patterns there (Sewaholic and Colette) many times, and it's a very cute store!

I participated in the last Purge event in October 2011. It was really fun, and I was hoping it would pop up again. I'll have to make it to the store. I think I actually sold more than I bought at the event.

Those kinds of events are EVIL!!! I formerly lived around the corner from the annual OC ASG yard sale and would come home with between 20 and 40 yards of new stuff.
