Does anyone have suggestions for good fabric for curtains for a 1930s north woods lodge? The old ones appear to be bark cloth with images of fishing and hunting. If I knew how to post a photo, I would.

I love barkcloth curtains! I have some really pretty ones in my family room and I purchased the fabrics at a Calico Corners fabric store. They have a nice vintage look to them. I hope you can find what you want. I've seen barkcloth on Etsy and Ebay.

The ebay and etsy bark cloth are all floral. Beautiful, but not what I'm after. I just need to find the outdoorsy one.

I would take a look at Tonic living dot com. They have lots of 50s/60s barkcloth type fabrics.
I have ordered samples from them in the past. Very nice.

Fabric Mart in Hawaii

I've visited their store in Honolulu several times. I had good service every visit. I would feel free to phone them and ask questions, if needed.

Assuming you have several large windows to do, this may work:
when asked to make theme curtains for a relative's office, I found it easier/cheaper to buy half-price slide-on-the-pole ones at Hancock's
in a twill-type fabric. I found a smaller amount of fabric in her theme and appliqued random large cutouts from it onto the curtains, then added coordinating grosgrain ribbon on center opening edges and hem. She get lots of nice comments from her clients.

Favoritefabric.com was one found if you Google "lodge themed fabric."
