I have looked and can't seem to find a simple top pattern maybe w/ princess seams or not--just a classic style that buttons down the back?? I guess an experienced sewer could adapt any tank to button down the back, but i prefer an actual pattern...if one exists?

The Burda Alexander Blouse actually buttons up both the front and the back! No princess seams, but a classic look.

I've never made it, but like the way many of the member projects turned out (scroll down to see them). There don't seem to be any PR reviews of it

Check out McCalls 5661. I have used this pattern a few times. One of my daughters prefers the neckline lowered a bit. But both of them quite like this pattern.

I just received Silhouettes #400 Traditional blouse today and it buttons up the front, has a loop back button closure, and a 9 inch zipper in the back option, along with long sleeves, short sleeves, and sleeveless. Mandarin collar with the front button, jewel neck, and turtle neck option, and in knits or wovens.

**I got it with the Darts dvd. I did fall asleep for part of it, but I really really like what I've seen so far. She's not boring, I've just had a lot of running around and children related things going on.

The Bow-Tied Blouse in Gertie's book is my favorite fitted blouse pattern. It buttons down the back, has super-flattering French darts (which look great on very busty me), and works well with both wovens and knits.
