I just bought 2.5 yds of fabric fromEmmaonesock. The fabric is a lawn and the print is John Lennon! Part of Linda'description was this fabric was for aging hippies! Thats me!I would really love some ideas for patterns. She just posted this fabric today and I scooped some up before any other "aging hippies" scooped it up!I am sorry but I am unable to provide a link. Thank you ! ~Valerie

Staying with the times, you could lightly line it and make a Nehru jacket.

a flowy tunic perhaps, since it's a lawn? that seems hippy-ish to me. I looked at it, great color

Maybe a tiered skirt? Don't forget to wear it with sandals and a flower i your hair!

I'm with Debbie- tiered skirt. Wear a tank top, beads, dangly earrings and John Lennon granny sun glasses. Go eat some macrobiotic food and you're groovy!!! Remember- all you need is love!

I love it! I like this pattern from Victory for a flowy top. It gestures towards caftan style, but is still very modern:

One of these!

Burda Flared Tunic "This flared tunic with wide 3/4 length sleeves, is reminiscent the ones hippies wore in the sixties."

Count me in on the skirt vote...I found a tiered Simplicity 1888 View C or D Doesn't take quite as much material as some long flowy skirts.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. A Nehru jacket is intriguing! I will be making muslins as I wait for the fabric to arrive. The young hippie never made a muslin, but for this aging hippie, it is a must! PEACE! ~Valerie
