I thought this print was pretty...but I'm not sure what to make with it! LOL!

It's 54" and I have 1.5 yd of it.

Something that does not have a lot of seaming!

It would make a really cute sheath dress, for example. (which would look cute w/ any white/black/lime green jacket or cardi) But if you are like me, that may not be something you want, lol.

Depending on your waist size, it might be wide enough for a just-above-the-knee circle skirt - and part of me would really like to see how that pattern would look in a circle skirt! But again, that could be radically outside your usual style.

But the main thing to make with that kind of yardage is a simple top. So if you have a Go-to pattern that has a simple front/back cut on fold, possibly w/ sleeves, that is what I'd use. Mine would be either S8523 (View C or D) or another Sorbetto, And I'd try the sleeves again, but I'd also try to find a coordinating solid and try this version - http://shesaserging.wordpress.com/2012/04/22/happy-dots-skirt-refashion-2/

McCall's 6751?

I'm making one of these right now, version A - only I'm drafting it myself from Colette Patterns Sorbetto. It's so easy to sew up - I can see making a bunch of these for summer. And it's a great use for prints because it's such a simple shape.

Don't make me sad!!!! This was one of two must have mccalls. And my stupid computer was acting up when there was a BMV sale and I missed it at $1.99! Lol

Good ideas everyone. I've never made the sorbetto. I have it printed but the thought of cutting and taping - meh. I don't think I'll ever be one to favor downloadable patterns.

I think a simple top is a great idea. I really love the brightness of the print!

This fabric is so pretty and fun. How about a summer dress? Great for barbecues etc and so easy to sew. Let us know!
