I can't find any reference to this in the manual. When I posed this question on their Facebook page, the response was kind of cryptic...something about the feature being hidden in settings. I have a feeling this machine doesn't have this feature, possibly because it is the original model. Any ideas?

I have this model and it should be on the LCD screen when in the sewing mode. I don't sew with it very often and am always amazed at how quietly it stitches.

T/O to check, and found it on the screen that begins at the top left with "utility". Directly below, at the very bottom is an icon of a page with check marks. Select this icon for the screen to make adjustments.

I used to own the Elegante, and yes, it does have it. I know this, because as a garment sewer, it was something I used and it's the first thing I check on any machine I consider. Since I passed the machine to my DIL, I don't have it to tell you exactly. But I remember it's in the Settings button, the button that looks like a piece of paper. The Settings button remains visible whatever menu you're on, it's in the dark strip either above the working screen or below it. It's in the same Setup button where you change embroidery speed, adjust screen lighting, all those kinds of things. There are 5 or 6 "pages" in the Setup button, seems like I remember it being on page 2, not the first page. HTH

All of the BabyLocks from the Symphony on up have this ability(same for Brother Laura Ashley NX2000 and up). I think they are the most customizable machines out there!
