I need anywhere from 3-6 yards of cotton batiste to underline and then line a seersucker dress I am making.

Any recommendations for either a store front in Los Angeles or online? Joann's doesn't carry it either in the store or online.

Thanks!

Kimber

Do you have a Hobby Lobby near you? They usually have a variety of pastels and a few darker colors in cotton batiste - and for very little money. I use it for my muslins a lot.

I don't know if they have fabric online, though.

Mood on La Brea, International House of Silks & Woolens (think that's right) in West Hollywood/BH area, maybe Michael Levine's downtown. I'd call and check 'em all first. I love F&S on Pico but don't know if they'd have that but worth a call!

Ok, that is an idea to call and see what f&s and mood have. I am so used to JoAnns where you are lucky if someone actually sews and knows the difference between cotton and poly....

One of my fave online merchants is NY Fashion Center Fabrics and they carry it, in case you are still looking.

I recently read about a fabric store in the Atwater Village area of LA. I've never been there. But, you could probably call and ask if they carry what you are looking for. Here is their webpage Sew L.A.

What part of LA are you in? Are you near to the garment district? If so, Michael Levine and all the other small shops there are another option.
