I am making a classic shirt and am having trouble with bunching when I attach the collar band. I am able to attach it nicely but when I wear the shirt or turn down the collar, I get bunching in the body of the shirt where the collar band attaches to the shoulder seams... kind of at the 'corners' of the neck so to speak.
I have tried a few fixes on my own but nothing seems to work. What am I doing wrong??
Thank you!

What size are your seams? 1/4" seams work better than 5/8" seams on collar stands.

It could be a fit issue rather than a problem with how you're putting it together. A photo of you wearing it would help.

I trimmed the seam allowance down to 1/4 inch and even snipped a few very shallow cuts at the 'corners' and it seems to have alleviated most of the problem - the rest will probably be defeated with the iron.

Thank you!

You should clip it all around on the curves, and almost to the stitching. It will lie flatter that way.
