I've just been noticing this item recently.
Has anyone actually seen it in action? or used one?

I was considering one a while back, but I read very mixed so/so reviews on it, so I bought the Clover ones.

I got every size they make for a LOT less than the SImplicity one. Yes you have to pull it through yourself, but I can say it works well every time!

I have one, but seldom make bias tape. It works well and you can may be able to get it cheaper at Walmart or at some online stores like ShoppersRule where you name your own price. If it is too low, they will offer their lowest. I have gotten a few things from them.

Like Cat I have the whole collection of Clover bias tape makers. They work very well and I never felt the need to electrify

The demo of the newer model which has a piping maker attachment looks very interesting. I could see a lot of uses.
Walmart's website shows very good reviews on it and I'm thinking that the newer one may be even better.
I'm talking myself into this! I love gadgets!

There is a thread going somewhere on this site as I have perused it before but for the life of me I couldn't find it for you. I am sure somebody else would be ble to find it.
The general consensus seemed to be they worked well. I have considered getting one but the price isn't as exciting here (150.00).

I makes several sizes. The one inch tip comes with the machine, others are optional.

I bought one approx a year ago at WalMart for $65. It is the first model and does not make piping. It came with one tip, but since then I think I've purchased most of the tips at JoAnn's using coupons. I really like it because my bias strips now have a perfect edge, and I don't have burnt fingertips!
