Why am I lusting after the deal on Amazon today for the Singer 9960 for $249.99. It would make a great class and back up machine. It's a great machine for the money. I thought a few times of calling home to make my case to hubby and then feel ridiculous for something I have no real need for. $249.99 would buy a lot of stonehenge. But Mother's Day is coming up and I'm not going to make it to the sewing show in town. Not like I'm asking for a $6K Pfaff or something lol.

One of the few times it's GOOD when something sells out!

I HATE temptations like that! You did it though Wolf!

Now you can feel perfectly fine getting some new Stonehenge fabric

I am going to be on a spending freeze for a L O N G time.....2 new machines...UGGGG!

At least I have TONS of fabric to use!

I caved I couldn't resist getting this deal on the Singer! I've bought 2 new sewing machines in the last 2 weeks...YIKES!!! Last week I ordered a new Janome 6600 from my dealer that was on sales already AND had an additional 20% off on top of that!!

At least I sold a machine to buy the Janome...LOL. Can't wait for them both to arrive!!

Well no not like I get that amount of money to spend on fabric, he knows I have plenty of that. If I had caught him in a good mood and told him how good a deal this was he might have said oh go ahead. But just as well. I can't really buy stuff right now I can't really afford it especially if I don't really need it. We have some medical and dental bills hanging over us so they have to be paid first.

Make sure you tell us all about it. If we can't get new machines ourselves we live through others.

I had the same thoughts when I got an e-mail about Mothers Day price reductions on the Viking Opal 650. I then manage to talk myself out of going down there every day by telling myself that I won't be able to use all my bobbins, I'll have to get a new walking foot, it's electronic and new so maybe it won't like FMQ as well as my current setup, I won't get that much on my trade-up anyway and so forth. The last (and somehow least important) thing I tell myself is that I can't afford it. LOL!

Oh gosh I feel your desire for yet another new machine. I have no room for any more machines but I keep looking at them. I have to have a talk inside my head telling me not to buy. Really I cannot sew on all my machines at once, can I. Now I can be embroidering on 2 machines and sewing on another and maybe jump over to the serger and then use the coverhem so I can really use 5 machines at once but then I still have a few not being used. But Oh how I love buying new machines!!!

I'm glad you posted this. I too keep looking at new machines, even though I just bought one not long ago. It's really sick, :D. I guess I'm just lusting for a larger harp. Which is ridiculous, because like you, I'm really fine with what I have! Really. Well now, I'm not so sure about that 90" long quilt I'll be making, but I have no idea how I'll quilt that anyway.
