Subject: Pattern suggestions for this dress Date: 5/12/13 4:57 PM

Hi there. I love this dress http://www.axparis.com/product_images/u/508/DW1026PF2867__80745_zoom.jpg
http://www.axparis.com/product_images/h/626/DW1026PF_CREAM_28987__20708_zoom.jpg
I was wondering if anyone knew of any similar patterns that i may attempt to make this with.
Thanks =)

Yeah, was there a problem with my links or something? They work fine for me.

You might try simplicity 1651 with straight skirt and eliminate the back straps.

It doesn't have the same waistband, but same close fit and fabric might suffice. I know I've seen formal dress patterns like this, too. So you might review the gallery in formalwear to see if you can get closer to the dress you want.

Someone just reviewed a pattern that was very similar but I am on the treadmill right now and can't seem to find it. Itmwould have been in May. It was a muslin.

If you want to recreate this dress it's good but think about it first and making plan about it. If you follow these things it will save your time and you can easily done it.

There are a couple of similar dresses to this in the new Vogue Patterns catalogue...

linkie

linkie2

they'd both need a few mods, but would give you the foundations...

Fabric-wise, maybe look for a silk jaquard? somethoing with a lot of body... either that, or interface the bejesus out of it!!
