Hi, I just became a gramma again and want to creat a fun diaper bag for the little guy, but I have no idea about where to start looking for a pattern.
I would appreciate any suggestions, or ideas.
Thankyou

I have made Butterick 4560 many, many times as a gift. Unfortunately it looks like it just went out of print (I just bought another copy a couple of months ago one to replace my tattered one.)

I made this one, and really loved it

I also made this one, once I had two little guys and wanted more room and a divider so that I could seperate the stuff for each boy. It also worked for keeping my stuff seperate from baby stuff.

Look in the pattern reviews for the Lola Bea bag by Sew Much Ado. My daughter loves it and is frequently asked where she got it. It was pretty easy to make and is super roomy.

I know I am odd woman out, but I found using a back pack to be much more convenient that carrying a diaper bag.

But I always had more than one child to look after and walked miles a day with the stroller and spent hours at parks and playgrounds.

A back pack leaves your hands free at all times, so you have a hand for a toddler as well a one to push the stroller or hold an infant.

Just a hint - Are you making this bag for the mother or yourself? All my friends said that they prefer to pick out their own because it's such a personal item. It's hard to find someone else's exact style and needs in the bag.

If it's for her, you might want to let her help you pick out fabric for it.

This is a really cute little diaper bag that you can just take one or two diapers for a quick trip. It opens up flat so you can change the baby on it. I made one out of Babyville pul fabric (one side, the other side cotton) to make it waterproof.

Thankyou all so much for the input, Ihad not thought about a diaper bag being a personal item, I will definitly ask for suggestions, colour etc, and the back pack straps will be part of the design that I finally decide on.
Thanks agin
