Today, I received a booklet for ETA SewExpo. I've seen this organization referenced on the Silhouette Pattern website. It seems to be a much smaller event than the Original Sewing Expo and that is probably a good thing. The only sewing event I've ever attended has been PR Weekend, so I'm not sure what to expect from an Expo like this.

One event is a bus trip to A&A Fabrics in NYC, a vendor who is normally wholesale only but will open for attendees on Sunday evening.

Has anyone ever attended an ETA Expo? What did you think?

I believe this is the expo which is being organized by Peggy Sagers. She has a few other expos in Dallas, Los Angeles and Washington DC.

I've never been but also got my brochure. The prices look reasonable and the events look great. Not sure if I'm going, though. And yes, it is organized by Peggy Sagers; her name is in the back as a contact.

I'm going to the DC one - leaving in 1 minute for the all day bra workshop. I'll let you know! It's my first ETA too.

Elaray, I've been to the Dallas ETA a couple of times. There haven't been any classes that interest me in Dallas for the last few years. When I read posts from the people who have been to the California one, it seems like a completely different animal! So I think the ETAs vary a lot depending on which vendors will come to the venues.

The shopping trip that is part of the one you're looking at sounds exciting.

I just registered. Besides the fact that this is close to home and reasonably priced, the scale was tipped when I saw there was a pre-event bra workshop with Anne St. Clair, about whom I've heard so many good things. So, excited!...this is my first expo.

If anyone plans on going and is looking for a roommate, feel free to contact me. I'd love to spend time with a PR buddy.

Bumping after Monica Walker's review of ETA Expo in DC. Looks like this will be LOTS of fun!

I am excited! A lot to figure out first, like what to do with my kids, but I am determined to make that bra class!

Bumping as it gets closer. Have a roommate from ASG, but would leave to meet PR friends, too.

Leu, I do remember meeting you at PR's birthday celebration at Elliott Berman. Hope you got into the bra-making class!
