I am sewing Kwik Sew 3915, a top with a ruched neckband that calls for stretch knits. View A calls for non-fusible interfacing, but doesn't say anything else about it. What sort of sew-in interfacing would I use on a jersey knit?

I have made the other view. I think they recommend it for stability on the lower neckband piece. I buy Pellon interfacing from JoAnn's or Hancocks. I would think a light weight and no heavier than a medium weight. I would probably try it without any interfacing but that is me.

"This" is a fusible and the instructions are for non-fusible.

It is a good product to have in your stash and is with the other types of stabilizer at your fabric shop.

I think a fusible would be better for a jersey knit.

I would ask Pam at Fashion Sewing Supply her opinion, since the pattern expressly calls for nonfusible. It doesn't make any sense to me, but she might be able to help us understand why it does.

Here's the contact link.

Yes, but they very specifically call for a fusible for the other view and a non fusible for this view. Though really all it stabilizes is the upper back and shoulder seam allowance. I was wondering why they differentiated between the two view and decided it had to have something to do with the collar. But it is really just at the seam allowance. I think I will just go ahead with the fusible or a very lightweight Pellon.

Does that pattern have other reviews? It might be mentioned by someone who has already made it and can shed some light on why it specifies a non-fusible.
Either way I am sure it will turn out beautifully. I like that pattern and thought I had it actually but I don't.
