I have had some great clients. One just showed up in my mailbox and asked for two table cloth quilts!

I am thrilled! Here is the first one.

Here is the back -

It is quilted two ways - some SITD and some wild crazy purple circles.

I made double of every "block" - so, the second table cloth quilt has lots of pieces finished already.

My days are going by fast right now.

Im taking this cool summer class that meets twice week for three hours. It is an art history class - we start in the renaissance and move forward. I was never religious so learning how to "read" the symbols in the art work is a challenge and a thrill.

It also is helping me to feel confident that part of the craft in art is a valid art form. Ive questioned if making things for commission was art. So far everything we have seen in the class was a commission.

Thank you - !

I super love these kind of quilts. I was thinking about them today and .. I think Ive been making them from the start. All of my old pics are on another computer ... but the "boxes of stripes" thing is really a motif I like.

Bold and beautiful!

Portland, I have to tell you... my sister was looking to buy some new everyday dishes, and I talked her into getting Fiestaware just so I could make her a tablecloth quilt reminiscent of those you previously posted. Now I just have to collect some appropriate fabrics. Sorry I'm such a copycat, lol!

Oh - fun!

I cant wait to see the new Fiesta color - "Lapis" -

Put some fabrics in that clash and look terrible. It will look best that way.
