Did the machine not come with a manual?
That's your best source.

I found a Youtube video-it is not the best because this girl didn't have anyone holding the recorder but here it is: Singer
It looks pretty easy-what part are you having trouble with?
There was alot of talk about these so someone else who has is is sure to jump in.

The manual explains how to do this. It is usually the second step in setting up the machine. First is bobbin winding.

If it is the needle threader that is giving you a problem. (1) Be sure the needle is not too small for the threading wire to pass through the eye. (2) Make sure the needle in installed correctly (flat side of the upper shank facing to the back of the machine). (3) Have the presser foot up and turn the hand wheel until the needle is at it's highest position.

Sometimes the threading wire gets bent. You can reposition it by gently pressing it with the tip of a tiny screw driver or tweezers.

If you continue to have a problem, take the machine to a Singer shop and ask for assistance.

I have this machine and it is really easy to thread. After going around the thread holder at the top, come straight down the slit where the arm is. I hold the thread taut and pull backwards towards the needle then I thread as usual. You don't see to hook the arm. If you still have problems call me 4056272695 after 6pm central time. I love my machine.
