As a new Smart Phone user, I'm looking for any apps that help make sewing, serging, pattern or fabric stash records easier to manage. What's out there, what should we be asking developers to create?

As a senior, I need all the help I can get to aid memory . . .

I use OneNote on my PC to keep track of my fabric and pattern stash (with screenshots or photos of fabric swatches and pattern details). Just discovered that there's a OneNote app for the iphone that you can sync with your PC. I find that pretty useful so I only have to update one location.

I use Sewing Kit on my iPhone. It lets me store lists of patterns (with pictures), fabric requirements, fabric you have, measurements, projects etc. It is free as a trial, and then only a couple of dollars. I love it.

I found some interesting embroidery sewing apps in the App store a few days ago.

I use Evernote. Tried various sewing apps but so far none excite me enough to stick with them.

I take photos of my pattern envelopes - front and back - and have a folder called Patterns in my photo gallery on my smartphone. It is perfect for when I am in the fabric store and going through the clearance fabric. If I see something I like that will be perfect for a pattern I already own, I just look up how many metres or yards and what notions I need. I have tried that Sewing Kit app but I've found simply taking photos works better for me :)

Sewing Kit HD for the iPhone. The cost is $8.99, but well worth it.

I do the same as Lauren does as well. Nothing worse than finding a great deal on fabric and not having the pattern details handy. LOL

I use the notes app on my iPhone to make lists. I keep fabric requirements for some of my favorite patterns, garments made, grocery, blood pressure and to do lists. It's nothing formal, but it helps me to be organized.
