I absolutely love the fabric of this jacket (and the jacket style too). I'm guessing it's linen, but it could be cotton or even silk. I've done a bit of searching online, but haven't found anything similar.

Anybody have any suggestions?

Jacket

(I'm also wondering if we need to start a pinned topic for "Similar Fabric" - seems like there's been alot of these posts lately!)

Thanks,
Liz

Looking at one of the closeups, I think the white parts are actually applique. Certainly applique wouldn't be too hard to achieve this look.

You might be right about the applique. Too much work for my taste though - I'll continue the fabric search

Thanks!

That is a nice jacket. I was going to say the cream design almost looks like embroidery work.

You might be able to achieve the same effect with either a stencil and fabric paint, or a stamp and fabric paint. It is a simple geometric which would be easy to carve from the new softer lino blocks. Or easy to cut a stencil with a craft knife from template plastic. Or you might be able to find a silkscreen with a similar geometric design.
It is a neat look, I agree.

It looks like embroidery to me, done a some sort of suiting.

It looks like reverse appliqué to me. Cutwork with white backing fabric.

Maybe mostly black, with black/white print color-block or applique?

Cute on her, anyway.
