I see that peplums are still in, lol. I actually like some of the easy blouses.

But it's a bit odd that all (if you can say "all" for basically 2 patterns) the adult costumes are Disney - Brave and Evil Queen/Snow White from Once Upon a Time. I know they are separate patterns, but they are basically the same thing - tight pants w/ a corset-coat that mimics a skirt (and bares the belly). The major differences are the collars and a dickey/capelet or blouse. And the Merida dress even has the same sleeves as one of the Snow White views.

Princess seams and raglan arms, that could be nice. But they are saying for men and women, as in unisex. Wonder what kind of shaping the princess seams have...maybe something for my barely A shape.

Saw it a while ago, but there was little on which to comment. Interesting that they had a few sweater knit patterns, though.

It looks like it's just M6614, minus the zippered front version. Lately McCalls has been taking pieces from their other patterns and reselling them in the Stitch N Save line.

This makes me super happy as it provides some coverage and adds interest to a basic tee.


I like this pattern for the addition of feminine details, but it could go overboard into twee pretty easily.


I like this but it is getting close to an usherette uniform.

The princess seams may be there more for design elements and/or color blocking than for shaping (though the queens of FBAs know exactly how to make those seams work for shaping too!)

The first one -- I had this same neckline in a woven Simplicity dress back in the early 80's! I loved that dress pattern. That collar looked so nice! Ah - those were the days of take it out of the envelope and sew it! Hardly any fitting involved.

It doesn't seem like there are as many patterns with this release as I hoped for.
I like 6794 tops/tunics and the 6800 coat. The photos with 6809 are some of the best "bad pattern photos" I've seen since the Vogue window series, and I really enjoyed that, but won't be buying the pattern since I don't need legwarmers.

What costume is 6819 supposed to be? I feel like I should know, but I don't.

6816 is screaming to be modded into a My Little Pony costume. I wish it came in a size for my 4 year old. I'm thinking I could probably make the "girls plus" range work for me. Is that a new size range? I don't recall seeing it before, but I don't usually want to make a kids pattern for myself, so I haven't looked for it.
