Dad is going to bring me my now-passed stepmom's Bernina 1850, and her Bernina serger (don't know the model). I'm having trouble finding info on the web about the 1850. He's also bringing the sewing desk he made her (L-shaped) and all the gazillions of accessories.

The best part is seeing dad and spending Christmas with him!

But does anyone have info on the machine?

Never heard of an 1850, I'm guessing it's either a 1530, or maybe not a Bernina.

It's a bernina - she wouldn't use anything BUT a bernina! And dad remembered how much he spent on it, too. Those things ain't cheap.

Ok so after looking at the bernina site, maybe 1850 isn't the right number... next time I chat with dad, I'll ask again.

In any case - bernina reviews?

I'm anxious to hear which Bernina model it really is. There are a couple Bernina Sergers that aren't on the good list, but most are real work horses. I hope you can find out which model serger, too.

Keep us posted.

I suspect it's a 1530 and if so or any other that's great! Enjoy!

Actually on second thought if might be a 185!
