A quick down and dirty (EASY) way I add my photo's from Flickr to PR messages.

After you upload to your Flickr click to the Picture you want to Post

Now Click on the Sharing Button for ways to Share your Photo

To Insert the PHOTO - Click on the HTML Code and click inside this - Using your keyboard press the Control key with the C key to copy this code

If you ONLY want to put a "Link" to your Picture - You can See where you can just grab the "link" and add it to PR - This is to get the picture to show in messages

Now - Your computer system HAS a Notepad. Really every PC has one! Look under your Start button, and open Accessories then open the Notepad

Using your keyboard press Control and the V key to Paste the code you copied from you picture into your Notepad

Now remove ALL the code except where it is highlighted in Blue -- The ONLY code you need to put an Image into PR is highlighted in the photo in Blue

AGain use your keyboard to copy ONLY the Blue section of the code - Hold down your Control Key and the C key to copy

Now come directly to your message in PR and click on the "IMAGE" button about your message -- When this opens, use your keyboard and hold down the Control key AND the V key to Paste this code into your message

Ta DA Your Photo should now show IN your message :-)

If it does not - go back to your Note pad and make SURE you have NOT copies any "extra" bits..... the only part that is needed for your photo looks like this *without spaces*

Where it ends is .jpg this is the Type of photo you have.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. Sorry I can NOT draw and write!! I can make it more Professional looking, but thought to give everyone a Quick Tut on this.

Thank you so much for spelling this out for all of us who are 'technologically challenged.' I have been struggling with getting my images uploaded properly.

I posted this method I use for posting one flickr photo a couple of weeks ago, which is super simple:

1. Click on your photo from your photostream and it goes to slideshow.

2. Click on Actions, which is the 3 little dots on the bottom right of the screen.

3. Choose View All Sizes (I have been using Med. 640 because my camera is set to take rather large files.)

4. Right click on the photo and choose Properties.

5. The URL starting with "http://farm" and ending with jpg. is there without any other stuff to fish through.

6. Copy and paste!

I was having loads of trouble when I first got flickr so I researched their site and came up with this. Just another option that works for me, anyway and pretty simple. Maybe it will help someone.

Would be nice if PatternReview could display the standard "click on thumbnail to enlarge" codes

yeah I know how to write HTML so I could do that to my photo's, but great idea!

Have you posted this is the Wish List for PR that Deepika keeps for things she makes changes to this website? I think there is a link on the home page to that message board where she checks off and looks at our "Wish" list for PR site add ons - Love this idea!
