Hi sewing friends

I had a nightmare that I told an acquaintance of mine I was going to sell a few of my sewing machines. She placed an add on Criagslist and basically gave them away. Sold my three Featherweights for $25.00 each. My new Horizon and table was gone, the iron and ironing board gone, the Puff Iron gone. My green Necchi Mirella sewing machine gone. My blindstich machine gone. Everything was gone. I had to run into my sewing room this morning to make certain it was still all there. Whew!

That doesn't need analysis--just shows what passions are important in your life. I bet you'd grab them first in a fire too!
Now the real scary ones are when you dream of going out in that new dress but forgot to sew the skirt on.

Dreams are related to jobs too--long ago in school I waitressed various places. Many of us had dreams of being the only waitress in the place when it's full with a line of people waiting outside the door.
And with teaching, it's being the only teacher who shows up one day!

That is really bad! I do think it could mean nothing, or maybe you picked up something from that acquaintance that was making you feel somehow uncomfortable with them around your stuff though, no matter what kind of stuff it was. I do think sometimes dreams mean nothing and just a mixed up dumping ground of anything your brain gets from just any sensory pickup, filtered or not during a day or such, but also sometimes just since we have to filter everything, and only process part of it, as just so much input, to even get anything done, sometimes they might be trying to tell you something too.

I agree with you and do not think the nightmare means anything. But it still was scary.

My poor kid had a nightmare that he had taken my precious family heirloom side table to school for show and tell, but people tried to steal it, it got damaged, even an eagle landed on it and was ripping it apart. He was struggling in the dream to get it home. Poor little dude.
