today I found out I passed my level 3 city and guilds dress making course. Its taken a year, a lot more of my time than I would have liked, and quite a few episodes of "blood, sweat and tears" (literally).

I got 3 merits and a pass, missing off an overall merit by just 1 mark. Ah well, not going to dwell on what might have been too much.

I'd just like to say a big thank you to all of the many wonderful pattern reviewers who helped encourage, motivate and keep my spirits up, as well as giving me lots of advice. It really did contribute to what I have achieved.

I'm not someone who is a natural designer or fashion conscious person. I sew what I like and what suits me. So this has been quite a learning curve. But for anyone out there thinking of taking a formal course for a longer period like me - you can learn a lot in a relatively short space of time, and really boost your confidence.

Not that I think I am going to be another pattern drafting a whole dress experience again for a little while at least...this brain needs a rest!

Congratulations! You are so fortunate to have these classes, and I'm sure you will use them wisely. For me, there is no school nearby that offers them, otherwise I'd go back to school.

Now you can take a break!
