This skirt is sold at Nordstrom and is made from a light weight Tencel denim. I wanted to buy it but the fit was off for me, mostly the waistband. It's knee length. I'd like to make one as similar as possible. I haven't made clothes in a few years, I'm not familiar with the patterns out there now.

If it makes you feel better, it doesn't look like the waist fits the model either :)
You probably won't find that specific design in a pattern (yet) (give the pattern companies 1-2 seasons to copy it) but you could modify a basic 6-gore trumpet skirt by making the diagonal slashes in the gores, splitting the bottom piece in 2, adding in seam allowances, then doing the top-stitching. Simplicity 2058 looks like it could work as a starting point.
The Tencel denim sounds interesting though, I don't know if I've seen that anywhere before. Good luck, let us know how it goes!

Any regular 6 gore flared skirt pattern (they all still have those) if you took the bottom of the gored part and split it up on your own into several pieces. I used to see a lot of patterns more like that, but I think that was more 1980's to before 2005 or so. And then they just became not so popular any more. If it's making a comeback right now, and I do think it's a cute skirt, and I would wear that, then I don't think the pattern companies have picked up on it yet, on just the current ones though. Lots of other spliced and color blocked stuff though.

I found a lightweight cotton tencel blend, I may try that, for lack of anything better. The N+Z skirt fabric was VERY nice and soft, very drapey.

Cute skirt, and you've gotten some great advice. As for fabric, SawyerBrook Fabrics has the most amazing super-lightweight denim in stock.... I was in the shop when it arrived and I was sure there was tencel in it, it was that fluid. best of luck!
