I ordered patterns from sewingpatterns.com more than a month ago. I emailed them 2 weeks after the order was placed and got an email that my patterns had shipped that day. So, I waited some more, another 2 weeks passed and still nothing. So, I emailed again asking to confirm they had shipped it and to the proper address. They had. So I waited another couple of days and sent another email stating that if I heard nothing I would be forced to take further action. I have heard nothing, so today i began the process of disputing the charge in Paypal. It is a shame, because the site seemed so great, but it would seem like a lot of other people have had the same problems.

I don't buy from them anymore. Every single time I ordered something there was a problem. Most of the time a pattern or two would be missing from the order. They did send them eventually ( took a long time though), but I got tired of the hassle of having to go through so much trouble for a simple order. The problem I've been having for over ayear now is that I can't unsubscribe from their e-mail list. The unsubscribe link they give point to a service used by many companies, and you have to choose the list you want to unsubscribe from. None of the items in the list points to sewingpattterns.com.

Welcome to PR! Sorry you're having problems. Were you aware of their terrible reputation before you placed your order, or did you only learn about it after the fact?

I occasionally order from them, and if I recall correctly, my first order some years ago was slow in arriving. But since then, they've been very good.

About two weeks ago, I placed an order and it arrived in two days (I'm in the same state as this business), so I have no complaints.

Reviews here indicate that customers outside the US are quite pleased with their service.

Oh my, I've ordered from them several times. Didn't know they had a bad reputation. I agree that they are not the speediest shippers. I did contact them twice. Once for a missing pattern and once to ask when to expect delivery. I contacted them from their contact page on their site. It says someone will respond in 24 hours and they did. They sent the missing pattern immediately and the other time I received the order I wrote about the next day.

Most of the time when I've ordered from them I wait awhile and then write to ask when it's coming and am told some of my patterns were on backorder - will be shipped "by end of week - sometimes that happens - sometimes a bit later - sometimes they don't answer me and I have to write again. One time though I suddenly received an unexpected package and it was patterns meant for someone else - I wrote and told them and never got a reply. Unfortunately they really weren't anything I would ever order. I guess when they have things on a good sale and you don't need them right away it might be ok but sure wouldn't count on getting something if you needed it within two weeks.

No, I had no idea. Oh well, I finally ended my 'relationship' with them with a won dispute on Paypal (thank heavens for paypal) and just went and bought the patterns I wanted.

Now I know, and now I have the dress I want

I got someone else's patterns from them, too. I contacted them and let them know. They e-mailed me and said they would send a shipping label for me to return the patterns, but they never did. The patterns are still sitting in the envelope in my sewing cupboard. The patterns aren't styles I would have chosen, and none of them are my size.

I have had good luck ordering patterns from them, though. I just know not to order something I'm in a hurry to get.

I had a similar experience with her. Took a long time to finally get the patterns. Terrible customer service; does not answer emails, etc.
