I see there are no reviews of this jacket and I couldn't find any on-line either, at least not that I can access. But I wonder if anyone has bought the pattern and not made it yet? I put the Facebook link in above because it shows photos of the jacket made up and that's what prompts my question. The made jacket appears to have a much, much deeper, more open neckline than the pattern sketch does. I like the sketch neckline, not the photo neckline. Sigh, one of these days I will have to join Facebook. In the meantime, anyone here who can help? It's not cheap or quick for me to order something from Australia.

Link to Style Arc's Facebook page

Those pictures are often shots of celebrities that inspired the pattern. In other words, it's possible that that photo isn't the pattern made up at all. (At least that's my understanding - please correct me if I'm wrong!)

You can email Chloe at Style Arc and ask.

Thanks Mary. Yes, I thought of that and I have emailed to Stylearc. It's nice to have independent answers as well. In the photos those jackets also look shorter in length.

Well darn it all anyway. I dragged the fabric out this afternoon and there isn't nearly enough of it. So moot point now, I won't be making it. Phooey.

I think it is a 'celebrity' shot, not the made-up jacket.

Stylearc has replied to my email and provided a photo of the Lorie jacket all made up, the only one I've seen. It does have the tighter neckline of the sketch. There was no comment on the Facebook photos other than to say they thought I was perhaps looking at the wrong jacket, which I wasn't.

Now I'm looking for a pattern that will be similar but only need a little more than a yard of 54" fabric for a size 38 bust. I'm thinking no longer than waist length (and I will have to lengthen the torso), three quarter sleeves and no facings. Why could that remnant I fell in love with not have been larger?

I'd love to see that picture. I just ordered this pattern and I'm looking forward to receiving it. I took a gamble since I couldn't find any reviews either.

cindyann, if you are on Facebook check out the link I put in above. I think Mary provided a proper link for me.

I will see if I can post the photo Stylearc sent me.

That is a lovely jacket. Could you add another fabric to contrast with your fabric to have enough for this pattern say for the sleeves or part of the back?

Maybe, I don't know without having the pattern pieces. But the envelope calls for nearly twice as much fabric as I have. I'm having trouble imagining how I will fit in half of another fabric. I guess I will revisit my first pattern choice for this fabric, which was also going to need drastic altering to fit. Darn. Ever notice how learning you can't do something makes it appear to be the only option you want to consider and you end up doing nothing? :(
