I am working on McCall's pattern 9665, which is a child's chair. In looking at the reviews on PR, many reviewers had/are having the same problem as I am. I would like to use pillow forms rather than fiberfill to stuff my chair and I am not sure as to what kind of form to buy. The pattern envelope calls for 3 3/8 yds of 45" pillow form and 2 1/2 yds of 60" pillow form, these measurements are for the width of the the roll/slab "stuff" correct? What about thickness, there is no specified thickness on the pattern that I can find. Otherwise in the 'notions' under pillow forms it calls for approx 10 bags of fiberfill. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have not yet tackled a project like this, but I believe some fabric stores have pillow foam which can be cut to measurements. HTH!

I haven't sewn this pattern but from reading the pattern from the McCall's website, I think you're looking at the yardage if you want to sew your own pillows.

If you want to purchase pillow forms, these are the sizes and quantity they recommend.
PILLOW FORMS
If purchasing pre-made pillow forms, the following sizes are needed:
- one 19" 25" 5" Half-circle Pillow (for Back)
- one 15" 26" 5" Pillow (for Seat)
- two 7" 15" Bolsters (for Arms)

I finally have a blog. www.detectivehoundstooth.com :)

Thank you NhiHuynh! In looking at the pattern online I see where they call for those. I wonder if I overlooked them on the envelope or in the written directions. Now to find a half circle pillow form, hmmm
