Howdy!
I am working on an outfit for an upcoming steampunk convention and wanted a full frilly type of underskirt. It would be seen in the front and i just feel that the chiffon will not give me the look i am going for. SOOOO could i use lace? would it be fluffy enough? or should i make the secong layer out of chiffon or tulle and just have the top layer lace? What are your opinions? Thanks!
Anna

Hi there, I can envision what I think you'd like your skirt to look like and I don't think Lace alone would be frilly enuf. YOu'd have to line it or maybe even make a frilly slip to go under to pouf it up. Good luck!

You could make a pettiskirt from lace (I have done so for my GD's). Try to get a lace that's not to thick so it gathers well. Have a good ruffling foot? Pettiskirts are a bear to sew without one.

Good luck
