Most of them aren't my cup of tea, but OMG THOSE NEW GERTIE PATTERNS.

I made shameful noises in public when I saw 5953:

That's my fav of the offerings also.

My 2nd favorite is 5965, & I love that they included 2 differently sized models in the pictures! Makes me want to buy the pattern just for that.

I think 5954 is *darling!* It is going straight onto my must-make list!! It might even inspire me to finally make friends with my serger.

And the back!

There are quite a few patterns I am loving in this collection!

* I am going to try to post pics but I seem to have a hard time getting it to work.*

I love this one, 5951. If you look at the line drawings it looks like the ones with sleeves have a vintage feel, but the sleeveless could be very modern.

The line drawings look much more promising for 5949 than the pics do.

5947 is hands down my favorite pattern in this release though. I just love the one with the buttons on the bodice.

I am not too impressed with the patterns by Gertie this time, which is disappointing. I am thinking I may change my mind on the separates if I see them sewn up in some different fabrics and not worn together.

The jacket and coat of 5956 look promising, and it has cup sizing, but I don't like the lack of belt loops.

I also think the girls coat is adorable even though I don't have kids to sew for yet.

Has anyone noticed the posture of the models? I thought that when one stood straight and head held high that there was an invisible line from ear to shoulder to hip to floor. Half of them look like their poking their heads forward like turtles. If I am wrong, them my posturel needs a lot more help than I thought!

I too like a number of the patterns. The Gertie patterns are nice but my absolute favourite is this jacket.

I absolutely MUST have this pattern! I've been looking for this exact jacket pattern all winter. We are heading into spring now but I suppose it's better late than never. If it arrives in time I may make one last wool jacket ready for next winter. I already have the fabric waiting in my stash, as you do , and better to sew it than leave it sitting in the stash.

Oh my gosh. I am so happy with this release. Did they change their sizing? I wonder how changing an 18 to 18W will work for sizing? Think it's the "same" but just pushed up?

I typically cut a 14/16 in tops and 16/18 in bottoms. Guess I'll have to learn to grade patterns up when needed!

5951 is Beautiful. Not my aesthetic but I can tell it's going to be a popular pattern.

5959 is really interesting in it's simplicity. Does that make sense?I like the black one (view A)

THIS...THIS I would sew RIGHT now!!!!!

I hate that it's so oversized on the model but I think this would look AMAZING when well-fit.

I like this whole wardrobe pattern but love this top!

I also like that one. Think the exposed zipper version is attractive also. How do you think this would look in a wide wale
dark gray corduroy ? Its got some lycra in it. Have leftover yardage from years ago.
