I got a 60% off class notice this morning in my e-mail. I just signed up for the "one pattern, many looks" class...$19.99.

This morning I got an email to get any one class for $19.99. I'm curious about their marketing. Seems like they are training customers to never buy a class at full price.

All sales make people wait and not want to pay full price. I always wait for pattern sales...fabric sales, black Friday etc. I had a lot of Simplicity patterns stacked up in my wish list and took advantage of PR's sale now.
Recently Craftsy does not do "sales" per say...they individualize their offerings. The 60% off might be for only one class and only to the OP. For instance I have a few classes in my wish list and they will e-mail me and say they are offering one of my wish list classes at a reduced price. They used to do sales with promo codes but I think that has stopped, since it caused a lot of confusion. I think they are still working on how to market their (excellent) product. They might do a "mass" sale to get new customers...I don't know.
IMHO all of the classes I have taken have been worth the full price...but I wait for sales if I can.

JTink, that class is on my wishlist. I would love to know what you think after you go through it. I bought the Garment Industry Secrets because I think the pattern is nearly the cost of the class.

I have a Craftsy stash along with my pattern and fabric stashes.

Kathy - I am so glad to her that others have a Craftsy stash.

(But, I have not started ONE.)

Update: Soon after I posted this note, I received an email from Craftsy. They resolved my issue

I noticed a math error in the Paul Gallo class sale that they emailed me about today. It seems that classes that were previously 39.99 are now 49.99 across the board? Since I have never bought a class at full price, I can't check my "purchased classes" to verify. I've sent them an email and I'm wondering what they will say.

I have also never paid full price for a class and never would. Their marketing is definitely tailored, which I think is clever. I think they do have mass special sales for all, but I got an email that said- congrats you have made some number of notes on your class- buy another one for 30% off. I get very specific ones like that from time to time. But now I know to wait for the one that lets me pick any class for $20! That's how I got the Industry Secrets class.

Though I think I am maxed out for the time being on craftsy classes I need to stop watching and now start sewing some garments!

I liked the "One pattern many looks" class with Kathy Ruddy. she has a lot of useful information and does a good job of demoing her techniques.

Since I am addicted to Craftsy's classes it is hard to wait till they go on sale. Thankfully none of the current listings interest me so I am safe.
We might need to start a Craftsy fast thread soon.

Have you watched it yet? I tried, but it kept having 'hiccups' with Google Chrome, so I was going to try another computer, but haven't gotten around to that yet.
