I got a flyer from Hancock about a 2 1/2 hour pattern design class. It is the second week of October. It costs 10$ you get 2 dvds and 6 patterns with the class fee.
would it be worth taking?

I haven't taken the class, but I would do it with enthusiasm. $10? Not $100? Sign me up!

It sounds like it could be the Lutterloh system. We have a thread going on that under Pattern Modifications.....

Anything that inexpensive is usually just a bait to get you in to spend more $$$$. As long as you understand that going in then everything should be fine.

They asked everyone at checkout if they wanted the class, when I was there today (getting stuff for my son's Halloween costume) I signed up but they didn't make me pay, but said I should pay before the day of the class. The poster was calling it a seminar.

I'll have to check at my Hancocks and see what this is all about.
