EDITED:
**Whew!!!! Three rows of Steam a Seam and my jeans are saved. I don't know how to delete a post, but . .. just whew!!!!***

Hello, all. This is Simplicity 7196, which I've made before. This time I've added darts into the back above the pockets and took in another dart at the back seam to help that gap at the lower back. But now I'm just a waist band from being finished and look at this horridness when I tried on before finished .. .
ugly pulling

If I pull it as if the button is already attached, it improves, but I doubt the button is going to help this much . ..
pulling straight

Should I put some heavy interfacing inside that fly area? Should I put another line of topstitching ?
Help! If it stays like this, there is no way I would ever wear these jeans. :(

I think this means that you fly flap hasn't been adequately caught in the topstitching around the fly area so isn't being held in place.

You could redo or add another row of topstitching - the jean I am wearing now have two rows. You could add a tack stitch on the inside if you have enough space. If you have a look at some RTW pants or jeans it will help you work out where it needs to join, so you can work out how to fix it. It is fiddly but doable.
