For people who enjoy cooking shows, there are also the Great British (and Australian and now Irish!) Bake Off shows. Similar format, "home" bakers, non-drama etc. I loved the Aussie one because, well, they ARE Aussies after all. Especially when things go wrong, they are the most entertaining.

non-drama etc.

This is important to me. I am an American, yes, but I don't go in for the melodrama, the heat turned up, etc. Calm down and quit the hysterics.

I really enjoyed this program I watched it on you tube recently and I liked it better than project runway because it is about home sewing and proper construction techniques and no drama just nice people sewing. I wish it came on here as I don't have BBC2 channel on my direct tv.
