I want to make one like this . (I hope that pastes properly. If not, it's a basic sweatshirt-fabric hoodie from LLBean, but lined with the soft, cozy fleece.) I looked around the pattern reviews but couldn't seem to find a sweatshirt pattern that has the fleecy lining.

Well, thank you! I can use that to add a lining to the hoodie pattern I already have! That's a wonderful tutorial.

I decided to try searching the boards again, and widened my search by only looking for "hoodie" instead of lined or fleece-lined. (Why didn't I do that at the first?) At any rate, I came upon some wonderful threads with loads of ideas, as well. Here's a photo tutorial from Craftsterthat a poster had shared. (What's really neat is that this tutorial uses an existing teeshirt as a pattern for the hoodie, so anyone could use it, even without a purchased hoodie pattern. It uses flannel for the lining fabric.) I'm giving that some thought...as this would be my first time lining a hoodie, and I've never worked with thick, Sherpa-like fabric before, I think I might give some flannel a whirl, for starters. We'll see...

Hope this photo tute might be of help to someone else, too...

I have a couple of this style from Eddie Bauer. Just remember to upsize, that sherpa like fabric takes up a lot of room!

That's what I was guessing would be the case! I've been buying my daughters these kinds of sherpa-like fleece lined hoodies from Old Navy for several years in a row, and finally decided this year that I really needed one for myself. Wouldn't you know it, they aren't selling any this year? LLBean has them, colorful and cozy, and I know the quality will be top notch...but so is the price. I said to myself, "I can do this myself, cheaper; and have fun."
