I hope this is a highly successful event. We need this in NE Texas to replace the MP Sewing Market. It's being gobbled up by Stitch Craft and Create

I learned about this from Louise Cutting. She won't be at this year's Expo, but I believe plans to be an exhibitor next year. Linda Lee is going to be there, though, and I'm signed up for one of her classes.

I was sorry to see the Martha Market go over to the craft side, but maybe this Expo will be even better. The topics covered in the classes makes me think that garment sewers will be happier!

I just put this in the Misc. topic but I should have put it here:

"I went to the Original Sewing and Quilting expo in Fort Worth this weekend and met Linda Lee at her booth. She's just as nice in person as she seems on her Craftsy class videos. I bought some fabric, thread and a pattern from her and acted like a total starstruck geek. I told my sister I was more excited than if I had of met Mick Jagger. She told me I was a nerd."

Those of you that went, what did you think? I was happy to see so many vendors there, even though I was not interested in embroidery or quilting booths. I hope all of them did well enough that they will come back next year.

Linda Lee and the Sewing Workshop were highlights.

I bought, from various vendors, 3 lengths of fabric, a tailor board, a pattern, and some purse hardware. What did everyone else buy?
