I learned how to use those "papers" for strip scraps and I'm hooked!! Next year will be my "scrap year" after I add this amount to my Stash ( hubby and I "back in our working lives" were both work a-holics and worked 70+ hrs/week to get to this point in our life)

Had to stack them to get them all in BUT this was a Once in a lifetime amazing trip so I nabbed the daily deal -Daily, then Friday was the beginning of their 5th Anniversary Sale.

I won't buy any more non-clothing fabric until next Oct -- only batting and backing if needed. I LOVE looking at all your stashes so thought maybe you'd want to see my "newest" Haul

Stacks are Jelly Rolls and 1 Honey Bun which are smaller strips than the Jelly rolls to use in the quilts as sashing (1 1/2" strips), then 10" square Layer cakes, tons of Charm Packs, a few 1 yard pieces of fabric and the newer book with Jenny Doan in it that she signed for me (and also signed my copy from the 1st run)... Odd 1 mfg has a newer way of packing the Charms by putting them up on their sides -- They look more like Twice the Charms -- The tall ones ARE Twice the Charms, the the shorter uprights are the newer way for that Charm packs.

Hubby can "quess" what I spent, but no use showing him this haul

Debbie

Fabulous! And since you are so busy it is especially wonderful to have everything on hand. Bonus - stashing jelly rolls is so much more convenient and way cheaper than stashing cabana boys.

Oh Wow. I am coming for a visit.

Are you telling us your hubby has NOT seen what you have bought? How in the world was that possible?

I am a Quilter at heart. I love to play with fabrics, patterns and colors. Recently I have discovered I enjoy doing applique. I love making pictures. Using a sewing machine is much easier than counted cross stitch or oil painting for me. I enjoy landscape quilting as well. I am working on my first applique project in the spring of 2014.

Debbie, you don't have to even THINK about apologizing to this crew for your delightful and enviable haul. We are all proud of you for buying this addition to your stash and we will be just as proud of you if you break down and buy some more before next October, honest.

I am so enjoying looking at your purchases, any chance of some close-ups?

Also, although there are no quilt police there are definitely real police and they get very shirty when the cabana boy stash gets too large whereas you can keep fabric (I still have some from the 1970's) as long as you like.

When you say "papers" do you mean the 10" square thin papers with the Missouri Star Quilt Company logo all over them? I LOVE THOSE!!!! I have been using them to make string-pieced blocks and have dozens of them already, they are SO MUCH FUN, and so pretty.
