Hi everyone -

I love machines and love the hunt.

Out of curiosity - and, a small wish to sew whenever I want without bothering my downstairs neighbor - Ive been thinking about -what sort of machine might be the most quiet.

And, at the end of it all - my floor just might be so uneven things just vibrate? This is more a food for thought question.

I enjoy sewing on the 15-91 so, while I usually an hungry for speed. In this case its not top priority.

So, whats the most silent machine you've worked with?

I keep hearing the Juki line f-330-600 is pretty quiet. IDK if Im really thinking about a new machine or not - but maybe I want a ZZ machine.

I love cheapo's, too! New Singers and low end are included in this.

Right now I am sewing on a Brother PC420. It is super quiet...I can manage to sew and listen to tv or radio without having to turn up the volume.

my featherweights are really quiet, especially my centennial. my pfaff 1473CD is probably the next quietest.

it doesn't matter what type of sewing you do. you are sewing, and sewing is good.

is your sewing table on a rug or on bare wood floors? a rug would probably help to dampen the noise if you are on bare floors.

I agree... Though my Janome is quiet, the 201 wins hands down!

Janome MC9000 was the quietest one I've ever owned. My Bernina 1020 is pretty quiet, too.
